Anna’s Fox

I created this cast iron fox as a memorial for Anna Mercedes-Wear who was a Ceramic sculptor based in Sheffield. Anna sadly passed away too young, after suffering from cancer. The fox sculpture was commissioned by her husband Richard and was installed in Firth Park which Anna could see through her bedroom window when she was poorly.

It was designed to be robust enough to weather the elements of a public park and to be enjoyable by anyone finding it whilst having a private memorial aspect for the family.
