I’ve started hand carving an ash tree in a Sheffield Primary School’s grounds. After an inspirational slide show to the pupils and a consultation with the school’s Green Team & staff a wildlife theme was chosen.From there I began sketching on paper and in tin to create a useful, weatherproof model to guide my tree carving. I’m getting used to balancing on my tower scaffold to reach the tops of the branches.
